I have been a member of South Jersey Camera Club for over 10 years and it has been a true outlet for the creative side of my personality. It is a wonderfully social club and I love the comaraderie. In 1982, I started out taking slides of dental procedures I performed on animals and used these images for lectures or articles on veterinary dentistry. During preparation of the slide show, I always threw in some nature shots to spice up the lecture. As time went on, I realized how enjoyable it was to take these photographs and it became a real stress-buster. After many years of attending South Jersey Camera Club workshops, fieldtrips, and tutoring, I moved from Beginners group, to Advanced, and finally squeaked into Salon group of the Camera Club. Not thinking I could compete with the heavy-weights in the club, I made up my mind to try even harder. A mini miracle happened and I pulled off first place in color prints for 2016-17 calendar year.
